Micha Daniels studied Industrial Design in Darmstadt, Manchester and San Jose / USA. He started his own design consultancy with Stefan Koitzsch in 1998 working for Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte, BMW, WMF, Berndes, Blomus and many others.

Alex Erdwiens also studied Industrial Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, joined in 2004 and took over as partner in 2011. He brought his own clients like Pharmaprov Brasil, JM Metzger and others.

In the following years, daniels + erdwiens has been asked for ideas, design and realisation-support by global players from all over the world: Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte, Deutsche Lufthansa, Maquet Getinge Group; Haier Group and CCT-Telecom from China; Pall Corp., Sanmina and Moen Inc. from USA; Arcelik/Beko from Turkey and many others.
