As part of “Open – Design Week Frankfurt RheinMain,” we showcased a selection of work spanning our more than 20-year history as product designers at the Designhaus Darmstadt from June 11 to 13.
The “Open Stage” featured 20 products from the consumer goods and capital goods sectors. A wide range of product industries and company sizes were represented, from kitchen appliances to consumer electronics, health tech, and capital goods, and from startups to prominent companies such as Tchibo, Bosch, Siemens, Victorinox, and others.
The exhibition was part of the Darmstadt Focus Day and was organized in cooperation with Hessen Design e.V.
Industrial Design from Darmstadt
Our main focus was on engaging with colleagues, clients, and design enthusiasts, who were guided through the exhibition in various groups as part of the World Design Capital Rhein Main 2026. We were able to provide insights into how we view our role as a design service provider and demonstrate that many well-known products from major brands—“designed in Darmstadt”—are highly successful in international markets.
Included: 3 German Design Awards 2026
Many of the projects on display have won international design awards, including the German Design Award, Red Dot, and iF. Also featured were our three newly crowned 2026 German Design Award winners—the Qbo ICONIC and Esperto Mini coffee machines designed for Tchibo, as well as the new Cosmos 2.0 dispenser series for the Metzger Group.
Hands on …
The visitors’ interest and curiosity—not only to look at the objects but also to understand them directly as everyday items, to pick them up, feel them, and explore how they work—made for an almost surprising and wonderful experience.
